Shaker panelling — clean lines, honest proportions.

Classic framed shaker panels. No decorative moulding inside the frame, just clean square edges and well-judged proportions — which is exactly why it sits as easily in a new build as it does in a period house. Everything is made to measure on site, so the squares can be sized around the wall you actually have and around the look you are after.

Proportion is everything

With no moulding to hide behind, shaker lives or dies on the layout. Square sizes and rail widths are set out to the room before a cut is made.

Squares sized to your wall

Nothing is cut to a standard size. The grid is set out to the wall in front of me, working around sockets, switches, radiators and door architraves so the squares land evenly rather than finishing on an awkward sliver in the corner.

Your choice of proportion

Tall narrow squares, wide low ones, or a near perfect grid — whatever suits the room and what you have in mind. If you have a photo of something you like, I will set the panelling out to match it as closely as the wall allows, and we agree the layout before anything is fixed.

Suits any room

Bedrooms, living rooms, hallways, media walls. The simplicity is what makes it flexible.

Crisp corners

Mitres cut properly and joints closed tight, so the frame reads sharp rather than soft and filled.

No hairline cracks

Where two pieces meet I bevel the edges slightly, which leaves a channel for the filler to key into. Fill a flat butt joint and it shrinks back to a hairline inside a year — give the filler somewhere to sit and it stays gone. Proper wood filler, so the line stays invisible for years.

Propped flush

Walls are never flat. Each piece is packed and propped while the adhesive grabs, so the pieces sit flush with each other and the frame reads as one level surface.
